Legacy

A testamentary gift of an asset, right or benefit to an identified or identifiable person.

What to bear in mind

A legacy cannot always be delivered immediately. Its terms, estate debts and protected inheritance shares must be checked.

Preparing for your consultation

Gather the will or testamentary records, kinship documents and a list of assets and debts. Applicable law may vary because of regional civil-law affiliation (vecindad civil) or international elements.
